September Celebrations

National Honey Month

This month is National Honey Month! Head to your local grocery store or bee farm to get some fresh honey. Organic honey is a delicious ingredient that can be used for multiple recipes. Honey adds a different texture if you were to use it in baking, but can be a good substitute for sugar. Check out Country Living’s 15 Buzzworthy Honey Recipes!

National Chicken Month

We have the perfect way for you to celebrate National Chicken Month. Visit your favorite chicken restaurant today for some delicious, juicy chicken. Even better, make something delicious by following these recipes from All Recipes. Chicken is one of the leanest meats you can partake of and provides you with good quantities of protein and other necessary nutrients. Find a good way to celebrate National Chicken Month and enjoy!

Cowboy Chicken

Do you enjoy eating rotisserie chicken? If you do, check out Cowboy Chicken! From their website: “Our recipes have stood the test of time and remain bold, simple and natural. Our wood-fired, hand-carved rotisserie chicken is worthy of the most trail-hardened cowboy. We trust in the things we know are tried and true-our passion for excellence in the food we serve, treating guests like family and employees like partners and sticking to what got us here-food as honest as a handshake.” Check out Cowboy Chicken in celebration of National Chicken Month!

The Oven

Do you like Indian food? Indian cuisine is delicious and a nice departure from traditional American fare. We suggest checking out The Oven! From their website: “The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp, and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various bread are being handmade by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and bread are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where bread are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat.”

Upcoming Holidays

National Chocolate Milkshake Day

Where will you go to celebrate National Chocolate Milkshake Day this year? The day to celebrate with creamy, decadent milkshakes is September 12th, so mark it in your calendar! Head to a fast food joint, or an ice cream shop to get your fix of a chocolate milkshake! If you’re not intending on spending much money, you can always try to make it yourself!

National Pepperoni Pizza Day

Celebrate National Pepperoni Pizza Day this year by going to your favorite pizza parlor. Pepperoni pizza is one of the most common pizzas aside from the regular cheese pizza and can be called an American classic. Enjoy the cheesy and peppery goodness of a pepperoni pizza this September 20th!
